Sometimes when you are craving warmth, salt and crunch, it is best to roast up some almonds.
Take a couple handfuls of raw almonds, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt and pop them in the oven for 20 mins at 350.
The smell of roasting almonds will make your home smell divine.
The taste of freshly roasted almonds is so much better than bagged almonds.
Oh, the crunch, the flavor, the salt, the warmth.
Goodness on a cookie sheet.
I prefer to add another pinch of salt as the almonds cool, 
but I love a little extra salt anytime I can get it.
