peppermint bark according to me with the help of ms. deen.
i just eyeball the ingredients since i've made it so many times.
step 1: melt about 2 lbs of white chocolate in microwave.
i usually use a combo of guittard chips and ghirardelli vanilla bars.
step 2: smash a bag of peppermint candies in a ziplock bag with a meat tenderizer or the like.
i prefer peppermint candies over candy canes...easier to unwrap and more flavorful.
step 3: when chocolate is melty, mix in crushed candies. stir.
step 4: line a baking sheet with parchment and spread out white chocolate/peppermint mixture to desired thickness...thinner is better.
step 5: place tray in fridge for a couple of hours
step 6: break into pieces.
i drop the cookie sheet on counter and it cracks naturally.
step 7: package peppermint bark and give away.
enjoy a nibble yourself...just to be sure it tastes good.
step 8: keep a jar of peppermint bark in your fridge for when company stops by or for when your kids need a sugar hit!
